Job Description

We are looking for motivated and technically sound Graduate Chemical Engineers based in Kolkata, Mumbai, and Chennai. The candidate will support technical sales, customer coordination, product application, process improvement, testing, documentation, and business development activities.

The role requires a good understanding of chemical engineering principles, industrial processes, raw materials, product applications, and quality standards. The candidate should be comfortable interacting with customers, understanding technical requirements, coordinating with internal teams, and providing suitable product or process-related support.

Fresh graduates and candidates with up to two years of relevant experience may apply.

Roles & Responsibilities

Understand customer requirements, industrial applications, process conditions, and technical challenges.Provide technical support to customers regarding product selection, usage, performance, and application methods.

Assist the sales team in identifying suitable products and technical solutions for customer requirements.

Conduct technical discussions with customers, plant personnel, quality teams, research and development teams, and purchase departments.

Coordinate product trials, sample evaluations, laboratory testing, and customer approval processes.

Monitor trial results and collect detailed feedback regarding product performance, quality, dosage, processing, and compatibility.

Prepare technical presentations, product comparison reports, test reports, trial summaries, and customer-specific recommendations.

Study technical data sheets, safety data sheets, specifications, certifications, and product literature.

Support customers in troubleshooting process-related or product-performance issues.

Work with internal technical teams, suppliers, and principals to resolve customer queries and application concerns.

Visit customer plants, factories, laboratories, and manufacturing facilities when required.

Understand customer manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for process improvement or product replacement.

Compare existing products with proposed alternatives based on performance, cost, quality, and application suitability.

Coordinate with logistics, customer service, quality, sales, and supply-chain teams for timely sample and product delivery.

Assist in preparing quotations, technical proposals, product recommendations, and supporting documents.

Follow up with customers regarding trials, approvals, commercial discussions, and future requirements.

Research market trends, competitor products, emerging technologies, and industry developments.

Identify prospective customers and new business opportunities within assigned industries and regions.

Ensure that all technical recommendations comply with applicable quality, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

Follow company safety procedures while handling chemicals, samples, laboratory equipment, and industrial materials.

Participate in technical training sessions, exhibitions, seminars, customer meetings, and industry events.

Prepare regular activity reports, customer visit reports, technical updates, and progress reports for management.

Maintain professional communication with customers and ensure timely responses to technical and commercial queries.

Travel within the assigned region and occasionally to other locations based on business requirements.

Candidate Requirements

Fresh graduates with strong technical knowledge and communication skills are encouraged to apply.

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemical Technology, Petrochemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, or a related discipline.

Strong understanding of chemical engineering fundamentals, unit operations, material balances, heat transfer, mass transfer, fluid mechanics, and industrial processes.

Basic knowledge of laboratory testing, quality control, process equipment, and chemical handling.

Good analytical, problem-solving, and technical interpretation skills.

Ability to understand technical documents, specifications, test reports, and product data sheets.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Willingness to travel for customer visits, product trials, and technical discussions.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and basic reporting tools.

Knowledge of the local language in the respective region will be an advantage.

Candidates should be based in or willing to work from Kolkata, Mumbai, or Chennai.
