Job Description
We are seeking a Graduate Chemical Engineer with a strong background in Sales of Chemicals and Industrial Raw Materials. The ideal candidate should have at least two years of hands-on experience in business development, customer handling, and territory management within the chemical industry. The role requires excellent communication skills, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to work independently to achieve sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Sales
- Identify, approach, and acquire new customers in the Chemicals & Industrial Raw Materials market.
- Promote and sell the company’s product portfolio to clients across the designated Chennai territory.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations to demonstrate product value.
2. Customer Relationship Management
- Retain and grow revenue from existing customers through regular follow-ups and service support.
- Maintain strong client relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Understand client technical requirements and recommend suitable products.
3. Market Research & Territory Management
- Conduct market analysis to identify new opportunities, competitors, and trends.
- Maintain updated customer database and sales reports.
- Travel frequently within assigned regions to meet customers and explore new business opportunities.
4. Technical Support
- Coordinate between customers and internal teams to handle technical queries.
- Suggest product modifications based on customer feedback (if required).
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety protocols.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in sales of chemicals, solvents, or industrial raw materials.
- Strong communication skills in English and Tamil.
- Good negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Willingness to travel frequently within Chennai and surrounding territories.
- Good understanding of chemical products, applications, and industrial usage.
